Detroit Wedding

I am lucky to have gotten these shot. I am 9 months preggo and the manager wouldn't let me climb on the tippy top of the roof where the "best" photo opt was. After 15 minutes of jealousy setting in as Marc Williams(thanks again for letting me shot with you!!!) snapped away I went ahead and climbed up- I think the manager was a little mad at me! I only got time for a few shots, but they were worth it!

Here is a shot of Marc taking pics of the bride and groom as I jealously am below!

Julie's family Revisited!

Julie and her family had me take their photos a few weeks back. the wind was pretty bad and poor Julie's hair was all over the place! We decided to redo a few today at the school by my house. They turned out rather nicely and it was a nice quick mini-session. Lauren and Nolan are such cuties and I just love Nolan's smile! Here are my favorites!

Just another day at the park

What another great day. I am loving the wonderful 70 degree weather! Today we were able to get to the park for a few hours before heading out to the Greenstreet Fair. I was bound and determined to get some smiling poses of my daughter for her grandmas! You know how grandparents love the smiling photos :)

What an amazing little model she was for her mommy! Just when I thought I had gotten some great shots I got my golden one for the grandmas!

wait for it....

Yea! My winner! this is for you grandma!

Eric and Gena's Engagment Session

I am so excited- so excited that I actually edited all my photos from today's session TODAY! Usually it takes about 1 week for me to edit portrait work, but I came home and my hubby took care of my daughter and I worked away :) This cute couple is from Chicago and were only in for the weekend. With all this CRAZY weather I am so glad we actually had a nice day without rain! Check out a few of my favorites! I cannot wait for their wedding this July!

You can't win them all!

So the other day I was JUST saying how hard it is to take my daughter's photograph. Seriously, this is not an exaggeration- she will purposely look away from the camera and immediately stop laughing or smiling when the camera comes out! I decided for her 2 year portraits I would guarantee smiles by taking her to her favorite place- I got my mom to come with me and pack up all my gear. We started the day off with a MAJOR meltdown!! I guess she did not want to be a fairy in the garden of trees. After that we went on the merry-go-round and even a train ride! I could not believe how many tricks I used to get this girl to smile! It was CRAZY! We were there about 5 hours and I cannot believe how many photo opportunities were around us and passed us by! I did my best and got alot of beautiful somber faces and a handful of smiles! I am wondering if after the baby comes and I am taking tons of photos of her she will come around and all of a sudden become my little model?

Lauren's session

What a fun afternoon I got to spend with Lauren and her family! Lauren just turned 1 and is almost exactly 1 year younger than my daughter! It's amazing how much they change in such a short time. Lauren was such a cutie and her pink polk-a-dot dress was adorable. We played dare with the weather and I think we actually won! As soon as we left the spot the storm clouds came rolling! Here are a few of my favorites from today:
